When I read the headline “Men Don’t Like Ladies With Long Legs” on one of my favorite men’s websites Asylum.com it caught my attention. As a self-proclaimed “cute” young lady with EXTREMELY long legs I immediately thought to myself wait, is this why I am single. Ha! Then I thought great, yet another thing against me. It wasn’t long ago when I was watching some random show called Millionaire Matchmaker where I had to listen to this so-call expert rant and rave about men not liking women with curly hair. Oh and must I forget the other thing, kind of a major thing depending on who you ask, but apparently men don’t like skinny women either. Ok, so if you’re counting, I have three strikes – long legs, curly hair, and skinny. When you add in “cute”, you would think it adds up to be a “Model.” Now ask yourself, what man wouldn’t want a model on his arm?

According to research conducted by University of California and the University of Westminster in London, contrary to popular belief (not sure whose), guys prefer women whose leg-length is in proportion to their body. After asking more than 1,000 men and women to rate the attractiveness of a series of images of female bodies, these researchers found that men taking part in the study preferred mid-length legs the most.

Ironically, hours before coming across the “Men Don’t Like Ladies With Long Legs” article, I was speaking with an old friend about this very same subject. As we discussed working out and hitting the gym, I mentioned to him that I was “shapely, but linky… long ass legs.” I also went on to talk about embracing being skinny with long legs and my only concern, which is NEVER to have a belly. Just prior to stating that, he told me “your fine nice long line.” Considering he is rather a big guy standing at least 6′4 or so, I would be more incline to take heed to his comment rather than be concerned with 1000 men who are probably all short and would never date “Ladies With Long Legs.”

Come to think of it, many of my guy friends that are super tall, like super short girls. Why is that?

Willow Smith New Haircut

This little girl has a style of her own. Very early on you could see her personality forming and like Zoe Kravitz, she is definitely one of my favorite young rising stars. I also have to mention Dakota Fanning. Dakota may not have as much style as Zoe and Willow, but she is an extraordinary young lady.

I read an article that compared Willow’s new hair cut to Rihanna. In another article I read the writer stated “Rihanna is obviously a fashion icon for Willow.” On Twitter someone asked “How do you feel about Willow getting the “Rihanna Cut.” I could be wrong, but I am a bit disappointed because it is clear Willow has an old soul and anyone who knows style can see Willow immolates a lot of the styles from the late 80’s/early 90’s. Yes Rihanna shaved her hair, but she was not the first to do it and will not be the last. In fact, didn’t Pepa from Salt N Pepa have a similar haircut in the 80’s? Not to mention, Rihanna style jacked FeFe Dobson. I love Rihanna’s edgy style and will be the first to admit she owns it, but hey let’s give credit where it’s due. Also, just a side note, Mariel Haenn styles both Rihanna and Jada Pinkett Smith.

I have never tried anything on this list other than Spam. If you are like me, you probably have always wondered, WHAT IT SPAM? Well finally you have an answer.

Apparently, Spam first hit the big-time during World War II when its highly preserved state made it the ideal food to feed to our protein-needy soldiers fighting over in Europe. The labeled ingredients are chopped pork shoulder meat with ham meat added, salt, water, sugar, and sodium nitrite to help keep its color.

Introduced on July 5, 1937, the name “Spam” was chosen when the product, whose original name was “Hormel Spiced Ham”, began to lose market shares. Chosen from multiple entries in a naming contest, it is said a Hormel official once stated that the original meaning of the name “Spam” was “Shoulder of Pork and Ham”.

I am not sure what the name really means, but it’s ironica that we call “JUNK MAIL” Spam…

Earlier this story I read a story about a 911 tape that was released from a home invasion shooting that left an intruder dead from a shotgun blast. The 911 call details the conversation between a 911 operator and a woman who opened fire on a man who at broke into her house. Although there is nothing funny about the story, several days later, I still find myself laughing at what is now going to stand up as one of the crazyist quotes of all time.

THE CALL:

RESIDENT – “Oh crap he’s coming around the front…”

911 – “Is your front door locked?”

RESIDENT – “Yes ma’am but it’s only got a lock on the handle.”

911 – “Okay, do you have a place inside your house and lock yourself in a room?”

RESIDENT – “Uh, not really.”

911 – “He’s trying to come through the front door.”

RESIDENT – “i’ve got a big shotgun. I’m not going into a tiny bathroom…”

RESIDENT – “He’s walking around the house trying to find a way in…”

RESIDENT – “Oh crap, he’s at the back…”

911 – “Okay , (unintelligible) is advising that you can defend your property if you need to.”

RESIDENT – “Alright he’s at the garage.”

911 – “He’s at the garage? Is it attached to your house?”

RESIDENT – “Nope, he’s at the patio door again.”

911 – “I can hear him banging again.”

RESIDENT – “I don’t want to have to kill this man, but i’ll kill him graveyard dead ma’am.”

911 – “I understand.”

RESIDENT – “Alright.”

RESIDENT – Oh crap he’s breaking in. he’s breaking in now, he’s breaking in now. He’s breaking the window, i’m going to kill him. He’s walking back and forth on the porch. He looks to be an older man, I don’t want to kill him. He’s kicking the door please hurry. He’s going to make it in please hurry ma’am. I think he’s drunk . He doesn’t know where his pickup’s at. God I don’t want to kill this man.”

RESIDENT – “I cant keep this gun and keep on the phone darling, it’s a big shotgun, it will break my arm. As soon as you tell me they’re here im taking the safety, uh.. Im putting the safety back on this sucker.”

What would you do if you were standing at the alter about to say “I-Do” to the woman of your dreams and your ex-partner’s mother, sisters and aunt burst into the room and began beating and screaming at you?

This very senerio happened. In fact after they finished beating and screaming at him, the burly women shoved him and his mother outside into a parking lot, where the ex-partner joined in. Once the dust settled and the police hauled everyone to jail, it was discovered the ex and her family put the beat down on the groom because the ex is claimed, she wasn’t his ex at all and was indeed his wife! Here is another twist, the ex wife filed a complaint against him for attempted “crimes against the family.” This is some funny sh*t!

When I came across the headline “Girl’s a Snore-Gasm Addict” I thought to myself, what the hell is this about? Well apparently based on the very few articles that I came across when I did a Google search, several people claim to suffer from this disease. In fact, in another article I came across titled “Medical Condition Makes Barmaid Demand Sex While She Is Asleep” a women claims “I can have sex three or four times a night .. but in the morning I won’t know a thing about it.” If you will believe it, there is even a website www.Sexsomniac.com set up to help people who suffer from this ~~rare disease~~. There was even a song back in the day that described the life of a SEXsomniac by T-Boz from TLC called “I Touch Myself”.
